Story: Jackson King was one of the first to be approached by the United Nation's StormWatch program along with Maya Royko and Foster McClane. Being the son of the seedling Isaiah King, he was a likely seedling himself and as it turned out he could be activated, after which he got psionic powers [StormWatch Sourcebook #1]. In 1978, the training of the small team was coming along quite well, and shortly after an attack by a group of terrorists that the team stopped, the new U.N. peace keeping force StormWatch was announced [StormWatch (vol. 1) #0].

During training. McClane and King competed for leadership of the team. McClane however turned out to be too reckless for the position as leader and much to his dismay, King was made leader of the first team StormWatch Prime [StormWatch (vol. 1) #0].

During his time at the academy he me the activator Christine Trelane, a meeting that did not go well [StormWatch (vol. 1) #0]. Later when Jackson's younger brother Malcom was arrested for a robbery, they met again when Christine took Malcom to Jackson, and shortly after at John Windsor's funeral [StormWatch (vol. 1) #1]. A sympathy was founded at the funeral, that turned into the two becoming lovers and eventually husband and wife.

After the disaster with the aliens and the dissolution of StormWatch [Aliens/WildC.A.T.S.], Jackson and Christine Trelane started the Monarchy [The Monarchy #1]. The details have not been revealed but one day while being onboard the Carrier, King was contacted by a group called the Weavers who made him an offer he couldn't refuse [The Monarchy #12]. The Monarchy took care of threats from alternate realities and the places in between, like the Bleed. The Monarchy was last seen after stopping the Axis Olympia in 2002 [The Monarchy #12], and must be assumed to have been discontinued as King and Trelane were a part of starting up StormWatch Post Human Division in 2006 [StormWatch PHD #1].

After Captain Atom rewrote continuity [Captain Atom: Armageddon #8], King became director for the Post Human Division of StormWatch [WorldStorm #1]. During his honeymoon, he got the idea for the new team, and approached the president. Helped by the Authority's coup d'etat, the president agreed to fund a StomWatch which would be a US strike force with a small budget, instead of the U.N. funding with no special allegiance of the original organization [StormWatch PHD #5]. His new team was a mixture of old and new operatives from both sides of the law [WorldStorm #1, StormWatch PHD #1].

Skills & abilities: Psionic powers, mostly telekinesis. Battalion is also an excellent hand-to-hand fighter.
Equipment: In the beginning, King wore a battle suit that enhanced his psionic abilities.
