Story: Hwen and his wife Carmen were hired to investigate the corpses of Hook and Welt who had been killed by Gilad Anni Padda [2]. The bodies were charged with necromantic energy and came to life, attacking Hwen and Carmen. During the fight where Hook and Welt were defeated they revealed Darques name. This was the first real paranormal experience for Hwen and Carmen and Hwen set out to find Darque [3].

Hwen and Carmen tracked down Darque, first to his mansion and then to the Ladakh temple where Darque was trying to get the secrets of geomancy from a dead geomancer. Here Hwen confronted Darque who immediately absorbed Hwen's life force in order to ad it to his own. Something went wrong in the process. Hwen disappeared as expected but reappeared moments later as a ghost [3]. In the seconds where Darque was shaken from Hwen's escape from death, Carmen and Hwen escaped the temple and headed home. During the escape, Hwen discovered that he could control energy when they were attacked by undead priests who had been sent by Darque [4]. As it turned out Mirage was too powerful and Darque could use Hwen for his own purpose, an uneasy truce between Darque and Hwen was established.

When Hwen had depleted his energy level, he sought out Darque again but found his sister Sandria. She replenished his energy and revealed that he was 'the one' [5]. The meaning of 'the one' was revealed during 'the Chaos Effect' where Hwen and Solar closed the rift leaking necromantic energy into the world [1].


Skills & abilities: Hwen can move energy and thereby objects. His body is made up from necromantic energy, which he spends when he is using his powers. at low level, he becomes transparent and can die if all is used [5]. On absorption of high doses, his body becomes tangible [6].
