Story: Ax was a harbinger with the ability to control machines. He used this gift to gain money and power. One of his greatest ambitions was to control the X-O Manowar armor. He kidnapped the armor hoping to control it with his powers. Unfortunately the X-O Manowar armor was a sentient armor making it resistant to any control except the ring [2-3].

When Randy Cartier had the X-O Manowar armor, Ax made another attempt on getting the armor. Randy however, turned out to be a fierce warrior and instead of getting the armor, Ax ended up loosing an eye when he was defeated [4].

The last part of Ax' human body was destroyed by the X-O Manowar armor when it had been imprinted by Master Darque and Aric no longer had control over the armor [5]. Ax must somehow have downloaded himself into a computer after this. He was shown as the one who killed Bloodshot in 2028 and took the nanite blood which was used to make Takao Konishi a Rai [1].
