Other distinguishing features: Lord Chapel has a white skull tatooed on his face.
Race: Demonized human

Occupation: Ruler of Hell

Story: At a low point in his life, Chapel decided he wanted to get revenge on Jason Wynn and Al Simmons [5]. He read the files Jason Wynn had on Spawn and reasoned that if Al Simmons could die and come back by striking a deal with the Malebolgia, so could he. Subsequently he killed himself right before Spawn [7].

Contrary to his plans Chapel did not become a hellspawn. Instead he became a horseman of the apocalypse serving Lucifer. As time went by he grew into Lord Chapel who drove Lucifer out of Hell and became the new leader [7].

The birth of Dash's son was a sign to Lord Chapel that he could set his plan of conquering Earth in motion [3]. In order to remove Dash's son Lord Chapel send Crypt out on a killing spree, killing the heroes that could protect the boy. Crypt was stopped by Prophet [4], and Lord Chapel went to Earth to finish the job. Lord Chapel was defeated by Lucifer, Reign and the son of him and Dash [3]. It was later revealed that he was imprisoned in Mt. St. Helens [1].

Lord Chapel was last seen when he broke loose from his prison at Mt. St. Helens and was defeated by Chapel and Spawn [1,2].
