Story: Antonio Seghetti killed his first man when he was 8 years old. Young Antonio stabbed the man in the back because he was raping his sister. This was Antonio's first meeting with the law. At age 12 he joined a gang. After a fight he was incarcerated and he swore this would be the last time he was in jail. When he came out he continued his career in crime and rose in the ranks, until he reached the top [4].

Seghetti ruthlessly led the mob for years, but with the increasing appearance of super-powered beings, his powers began to diminish. In order to regain power, Seghetti had a suit of armor developed by CyberData. With his new armor he became Overlord and created the Vicious Circle and at the same time he sold out his second-in-command Sebastian Khan [7].

In the early 1990s the Vicious Circle ruled Chicago, but two events began reducing his power. The Dragon joined the police force and Sebastian Khan had started a rival gang, The Annihilators, as Cyberface. Cyberface was an especially dangerous adversary, as he had been involved in the creation of the Overlord armor and knew that Seghetti was Overlord and he also knew some of the secrets of the armor including how to turn off the defense system [7]. Seghetti made several attempts at killing the competitors like Cyberface [2] and the heroes of Chicago [1], but only with very limited success.

The fighting escalated ending in an attack on the police station [3] and Dragon and the rest of the police force retaliating at Overlords head quarter. Overlord died fighting Dragon. Cyberface had told the police how to turn off the Overlord armor's defenses, and after a brief fight Overlord took a bullet in the head, killing him instantly [4].

Seghetti met Dragon one final time when Dragon ended up in Hell. Dragon gave him a final beating (twice actually) before he went on to see the Fiend and the Devil which was why he had ended up in Hell [5,6].

Skills & abilities: The Overlord armor gave Seghetti super strength, flight capability and invulnerability.

Background notes: Of the Savage Dragon's adversaries, Overlord was one of the most persistant ones. Seghetti as Overlord was a relatively short story, but the Overlord armor kept turning up in the possession of others later in the Savage Dragon series. The Overlord Seghetti was also one of the characters to be transferred to the Savage Dragon cartoon and appeared several times. His voice in the cartoons was done by Tony Jay.
