Background notes: Suicide Bunnies was created by Andy Ridley, and appeared the first time in The Book of Bunny Suicides from 2003. The humor, having cute little bunnies committing suicide in various ways, was dark and off beat, with a lot of references to pop culture and historical events. A second book, Return of the Bunny Suicides, was published in 2004 and the third book, Dawn of the Bunny Suicides, was published in 2010. A small post card book, Bunny Suicides A Postcard Book, was published in 2005, but is more of a transfer to another medium than an actual book, and it did not contain new material.

The only reference to being transferred to other media, other than the postcard book, is the game Bunnycide from 2010, which is an app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
