Story: Simon Oreck worked at D.O.A. as early as 1971, where he was overseeing the project, which later led to the creation of Bloodshot. Oreck was not at that time connected to a computer [2]. The specifics has not been revealed but as time passed, Oreck became linked to a computer giving him access to the computer network which must be assumed to be the the basis of his rise in power, along with a proficiency in strategy.

When Raymond Garrison, who was working under cover as Angelo Mortalli at the time, was killed he was resurrected as an experiment. Unfortunately the process didn't exactly resurrect Garrison as Oreck had thought but instead created Bloodshot which was a mixture of Raymond Garrison and Angelo Mortalli's personalities with several gaps [1]. Oreck had hoped to get a powerful pawn but instead ended up getting killed by Bloodshot who took over as leader of D.O.A. [3].

Equipment: Oreck was attached to D.O.A.'s mainframe giving him direct access to all the knowledge therein.
